Did you ever receive unpleasent comment (spam) in several times? yes i have it recently. Some people or may be BOT send me a comment with large of link. Usually they offering XXX stuff, you know what i mean 
. So, how to prevent spam comment appear on you beloved blog. It is not to difficult. As default usually wordpress will set moderation for first comment that entering your blog. Keep it, don’t change it.
If you feel those does’nt enough you can add akismet as your spam guard. Many people said, that sometimes akismet caught your friend comment. But, no programs perfect, huh? Compare to its benefit, I think that’s no problem with me. Akismet very useful to kick out the spammer.
