Yahoo has introduced their new Mail beta which has more features like integrated Yahoo Messenger in your mail menu. But, too many features makes Yahoo! Mail beta slower when you try to open it. If you want faster access to Yahoo Mail, try to switch back to Yahoo Mail Classic.
Unfortunatelly, Yahoo didn’t provide easy way to go back to Yahoo Mail Classic easily. But don’t worry, you can follow this little trick to switch back to Yahoo Mail Classic.
1. Open your Yahoo Mail
2. Turn off javascript in your browser
3. Reload your Yahoo Mail page
4. There is option to switch back to Yahoo Mail Classic. Click return to a previous version of Yahoo Mail link (see picture below)
5. Turn On again javascript in your browser.
How To Turn Off Javascript
- For SAFARI: Open SETTINGS > click PREFERENCES > click SECURITY > Uncheck ENABLE JAVA and ENABLE JAVASCRIPT
- For IE: Open TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS >> SECURITY. In security click “CUSTOM LEVEL” -> disable active scripting in the scripting section.
- For FIREFOX: Open TOOLS > OPTIONS > CONTENT, click on “DISABLE JAVASCRIPT”.
- For CHROME : paste ‘chrome://settings/content‘ in address bar. Choose “Do not allow any site to run JavaScript” in Javascript section.
Note : Remember to turn JAVASCRIPT back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won’t work.
